GlobeQuest Travel Club knows that Hawaii attracts outdoor lovers and realizes that the options are overwhelming and endless. From beaches to mountains, and volcanoes to parks, it can be hard to make a decisions.
That’s why GlobeQuest Travel Club has outlined a few of the best for your upcoming vacation. The most popular beach in Hawaii is easily Waikiki Beach in Oahu. While the popularity makes it seem crowded, there are so many reasons that people flock to this beach. One such reason is the shallower, calmer areas for young children or those who aren’t comfortable in the water. “The water is warm, the sand is white, and the sunsets are fantastic,” says a Nevada native who visited recently.
With three active volcanoes in Hawaii you’ll definitely want to visit one. Kilauea, in Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, is one of the most active volcanoes in the world. Visitors love having the once-in-a-lifetime experience of safely visiting and exploring an active volcanoes. The park is 377 square miles with rocky hiking trails, deserts, fresh lava. Since Kilauea has been erupting continuously since 1983, the landscape is always changing. The other two active volcanoes are Maunaloa, also on the Big Island, and Loihi, which is still underwater.
The Kalalua Trail on the Napali Coast has some of the best hiking, according to locals. This 11 mile trail goes from Ke’e Beach to Kalalau Beach along the Na Pali Coast on Kauai. The trail provides the only land access to this area of the park and traverses 5 valleys. The trail is almost never level as it crosses above the cliffs and through the valleys before dropping to sea level at the beach.
GlobeQuest Travel Club highly recommends adding one of these outdoor activities, or all three, to your next Hawaiian vacation.
